You may be able to receive up to $4,716 of your money if you earned less than $39,783 and qualify for the EITC refund. The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a federal tax credit for qualified low-income workers that have a valid Social Security number. This is a refund of your money. Eligibility is based on your income and the number of children you have at home. This may include biological, foster, permanently and totally disabled, step, and adopted children. Even if you did not make enough to require filling out a tax return, you may still be able to receive the refund. Retroactive EITCIf you qualified for EITC in previous years but didnt' file or claim the credit, you can still file or amend incorrectly filed tax returns for the previous three years to claim a refund.
Advance Earned Income Tax Credit (AEITC)Qualified families with at least one qualifying child living with them may recieve up to $145 per month in advance as extra money in their paycheck. All you have to do is file an IRS form W-5 with your employer. Call 211 for more details.
